Nice minimal room with almost everything you need, but would like to have bedside tables on both sides. Indoor/outdoor shower. Pleasant and tranquil surroundings. Relaxing plunge (not swimming) pool. We had prebooked two nights on Booking.com and had to pay for the first night which we couldn't use due to delays caused by Dubai floods. In compensation we were granted late check out, which was much appreciated. Would stay there again.

Hidden paradise in the city

This hotel is a gem among the city at Orchard Road. I happened to book this hotel with a very good discounted rate. Before I reached the hotel, my friend informed me we need to walk up a slope before reaching the hotel. To my surprise, we had dinner along the stretch of shophouses offering a good variety of local cuisine. After dinner, we walked up the slope and reached the hotel at 8pm. By then, it was very dark and we could not appreciate the greenery around the hotel. The next morning, we were greeted by beautiful greenery similar to padi fields in Bali! This was a nice surprise. Throughout the whole night stay, the environment was very quiet, quaint and peaceful. Hotel staff members were very polite and hospitable. They brought us for a tour of the hotel before we checked in. Amenities were basic yet adequate. I will strongly recommend this hotel to my friends. Will definitely go there again.

I feel so fortunate to have gotten to spend so much time in the room 11 Reading Room at the beginning of the year, with its huge window overlooking so much breathtaking green that feels almost impossible knowing Orchard is only minutes away. Waking up to your eyes filling with trees is so special, but what I really don't have enough words to describe are the staff at Lloyd's. For the facilities, calmness, value for money and location alone, I would never stay in any other hotels in Singapore. But by far the best part is the people. Everyone was so incredibly welcoming and caring. Charmaine is beyond compassionate and sweet, her support as I went through last-minute itinerary changes and medical issues meant so much to me. She's just such a lovely person, I'm glad to call her a friend now too :) Having the whole team around really made all the difference in my experience coming to Singapore (and Asia!) for the first time. After my stay, they left the room I was staying in empty for a while because a mother bird had built her nest by the bathroom and they didn't want to disturb her— that's just the kind of people that the folks running Lloyd's are. I also accidentally broke something in the room and the way they handled it really touched me. I love the breakfast coupons too, Peter at Killiney Kopitiam was another highlight for his warmth and his conversations. Staying here, surrounded by all these sweet people, it really made me feel like it was my neighborhood. When I'm walking down the street I still stop by to say hi! I cannot recommend this place enough. I already miss unwinding at the end of the day with a complimentary tea in the outdoors pantry area accompanied by the familiar scents and the calming music track Lloyd's plays. Thank you, everyone!! :)

Amazing little boutique hotel close to a shopping paradise

Loved the facilities, especially the bathrooms. The wading pool was a refreshing way to end a long day. Proximity to the MRT and Orchard Road made shopping and sightseeing a breeze. Definitely going to come back here when we visit Singapore again!
